We (EBC) Collect the following data:

Information about your connection to the University of St Andrews Boat Club (UStABC) (i.e. years involved in the club, involvement with committee).

Information about the size and frequency of donations you make to The Eden Fund.

Sign up for EBC membership through our membership form (https://www.edenboatclub.com/membership)

Donate to us either via bank transfer or through our donation platform Donorbox or our payment processor, Stripe.

Use or view our website via browser cookies or through your interaction with our emails sent through mailchimp.
EBC collects your data so that we can:

Email you content that you opt in for during membership sign up.

Ensure our website functions and structure is accessible for our users.

Monitor the growth of the Eden Fund to allow us to continually support the club (UStABC) and effectively thank and engage with our donors.

EBC will never share your data with any individuals within the University of St Andrews Boat Club (UStABC) or the University Development Office. We will fulfil our obligations to share your data with an external party if required by regulation or a law enforcement agency.
EBC stores all of your data within Google Drive. Each individual within the committee, outlined within our constitution, has a separate google account, with access to membership data restricted to those individuals who require it to fulfil their role effectively. Information on how Google complies with data protection laws can be found at: https://privacy.google.com/businesses/compliance/. We would encourage Eden BC members to read this policy and those of the other external parties we utilise in the provision of services (i.e. MailChimp, DonorBox, Stripe). In additional to the Google Drive, we store membership data within a Gmail inbox, to which access is restricted to those individuals that require it for the completion of their role responsibilities.
EBC will store your data for 50 years from the date of collection, at which point the data will be securely deleted, unless further permission is given for an extension in retention.
We will not send you information about events held by EBC unless you have specifically opted in for this during membership sign up on our website. We will not share your data with external parties for marketing purposes including the University of St Andrews Boat Club (UStABC). You have the opportunity to unsubscribe from our emails at any time either through our website (https://www.edenboatclub.com/membership) or by clicking unsubscribe in any of our emails.
EBC would like to ensure you are aware of your data protection rights. You can, at any time, either by emailing us or writing to us, submit any of the following requests:
